This is a wall hanging for my pink lovin girlie-girl
I started with a 6 x 12" canvas. I layered old book pages and patterned papers and sealed them with modge podge. I let it dry overnight (actually 2) before I used the texture paste with a stencil. I also at this point added the texture paste to a large wooden heart for even more dimension.
After the texture paste dried (about 2- hours) I used the spray mists and drizzled the blue, green and pink ink down the canvas and heart. I used Heidi Swapp mists which were a little too intense for this project so I added a few sprays of water to help mute the colors and make them run a little.
I let the mist and water dry completely and then added her name and the flowers. I stamped on the smaller heart!
Welcome to the Colorful Creations Spring Fling Blog Hop! I don’t know about you but the ladies here at CC are ready for some sunshine. How about you????
To help us get ready to usher Spring in, we decided to have a Spring themed Blog Hop so all the projects you find along the hop will be themed around Spring. Make sure you visit each DT member’s blog!
You should have come from Brandi‘s blog, if not, please go back to the Colorful Creations blog to start the hop from the beginning.
For my hop challenge I would like you to create a layout with the word "Spring" in the title and use at least two different fonts!!
Once you have completed your layout, please head back over to the CC blog to upload your entry. Please tag your entry: (SFKaren-Your name), for example, SFKaren-Brenshevia. The more you play, the better your chances of winning this great prize courtesy of Colorful Creations!
ANY PROJECT NOT PROPERLY TAGGED WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED FOR THE DRAWING!!!
Now head on over to Marci‘s blog and see the great challenge she has in store for you!
Remember you have to have your projects linked up no later than midnight, CST, March 29th
